Sports were my whole life growing up. I wrestled for seven years, played football, ran track, hooped through school, and by the time I hit high school, baseball had my full focus. I got drafted after graduation. It should've been the beginning of everything. But I never learned how to actually take care of my body, and that shot at the next level slipped through my fingers.

Here's what nobody knew: I graduated 6'4" and 165 pounds. The skinny kid. I carried that insecurity everywhere, even when I didn't show it. So I found bodybuilding and I chased size like it was the answer to everything I felt I lacked. Bigger meant more confident. Bigger meant accepted. I pushed and pushed until years of that pushing caught up with me in the worst way. What I thought was the flu turned into a staph infection that had spread internally without me even realizing it. Emergency surgery. Five days in the hospital. A PICC line and weeks of IV antibiotics at home. I had finally stopped seeing that skinny kid in the mirror, and then my body got taken from me all over again. Frustrating. Humbling. Scary. I know exactly what it feels like to look healthy on the outside while feeling completely disconnected from your body on the inside.

I tried fixing it the way I knew how. More training. More effort. More traditional treatments that chased symptoms instead of asking why any of this was happening in the first place. None of it worked, because none of it was solving the real problem.

What actually changed things was finding the right mentor, immersing myself in functional health, and finally understanding how the body actually works. But the real turning point was my relationship with God. It reshaped how I saw my health, my purpose, my whole life. I learned that everything I have is borrowed, and my job is to give back more than I take. Give ten, take one, pay it forward. That's not a tagline for me. That's the whole philosophy.

Today I get to watch people find their way back to themselves. I'm a functional health practitioner because I believe everyone has a purpose, and helping people find theirs is mine. I specialize in women's health because I know what it's like to be unheard, dismissed, and pulled in ten directions with no real plan to hold onto. Too many women put everyone else first until their body forces them to stop. I don't believe people are broken. I believe they deserve someone who will listen, dig deeper, and fight for real answers alongside them. That's why I coach, and that's who I'm here for.
